Video Shows Electronic Back Pressure Control

Controlling back pressure with an electronic signal is easily achieved by combining an Equilibar pilot operated back pressure control valve with an electronic air pressure regulator. This short video shows an Equilibar LF ‘low flow’ series back pressure regulator being pilot operated by a 0 to 1000psi command pressure.

To Learn More About Electronically Controlling Back Pressure

Use the links below to learn more about all the options for both the electronic pilot regulator and for the precision pilot operated Equilibar back pressure regulator.

Electronic Pilot Regulators

Electronic pilot regulators have many options. Full scale pressure range options include full vacuum, inches of water column, and as high as 3000 psi in gauge and absolute references. Command signal options include traditional analog 4-20mA and 0-10VDC signals as well as advanced serial digital commands including RS232/485 Modbus and Ethernet IP. Precision Back Pressure Regulators

For low flow and high pressure applications, including reactor pressure control, catalysis research, oil reservoir core sample analysis, look at our Research Series Back Pressure Regulators.

For general service applications such as pump recirculation loop pressure control in sizes from 1/4 to 1 inch, look at the Equilibar General Service ‘GS’ Series Back Pressure Regulators.

For high flow rate back pressure applications in port sizes from 1.5 inches to 4 inches look at our Industrial BD Series Back Pressure Regulators.

For very high flow rate back pressure applications at low to very low pressures (less than one atmosphere positive pressure through full vacuum, +/-15psi) look at our lighter weight welded plate HV Series back pressure regulators.

Journal article focuses on oligonucleotide production using pressure control with built in dampener

Oligonucleotide drugs are made up of short sections of genetic sequences and are used to target disorders in the genetic code. The first drug of this type was used in 1998 during the AIDS epidemic.  Since then, the field has accelerated rapidly and today many oligonucleotide drugs are in clinical trials, promising improvements in treatment Read More
