Julie Detmering

Julie Detmering provides both Sales and Customer Service support for Equilibar. She keeps the office running smoothly and everyone on task. She manages all aspects of order placement and fulfillment, as well as most other questions and issues.

Julie is a graduate of Merideth College with a degree in political science. Besides being a new mother, her hobbies include reading and hiking with her dog in the Pisgah National Forest, which surrounds her home.

Tony Tang

Tony Tang is Engineering Manager for Equilibar. He works closely with customers to understand their challenges and develop the best solution.

Tony earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University. His hobbies include playing guitar and rock climbing in the surrounding Blue Ridge mountains.

Ryan Heffner

Applications Engineer Ryan Heffner graduated Cum Laude from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He is pursuing his graduate degree, also at NC State.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys rebuilding cars and playing video games.

David Reed

As Operations Manager for Equilibar, David Reed places high priority on getting to know our customers and learning about their opportunities for improved pressure control. He especially enjoys talking to customers about innovative solutions to unique problems. David is a graduate of Purdue University and has 18 years of experience in the pressure control industry. Most recently he served as vice president of engineering for Proportion-Air, an innovative leader in electropneumatic controls and one of Equilibar’s key strategic partners. David is active in the Boy Scouts organization and enjoys boating and other outdoor activities.

Jeff Jennings

Jeff Jennings is the founder and president of Equilibar. He also provides application engineering to customers and is responsible for research and product development as well. Jeff works with the other application engineers to address demanding customer challenges and performance issues in the field.

Jeff worked as a process development engineer with DuPont and other companies for 23 years before establishing Equilibar. A licensed professional engineer in the state of North Carolina, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clemson University with a BS in mechanical engineering. He is an inventor with several patents in the field of fluid controls and digital imaging. His hobbies are nature photography, hiking, and mountain biking in the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.

Janet Stiltner

Janet Stiltner is both accounting manager and a key member of our customer service team. She has a broad background in business and marketing and owned a trucking company with her husband for several years. A native of Western North Carolina, she has a son and daughter in college, and the whole family enjoys spending time at the lake. When you call Equilibar, Janet is often the person who answers the phone, and she is happy to answer your questions, especially any questions about accounts payable or accounts receivable.

 

Alan Black

Alan Black, applications engineer, has a degree in physics from North Carolina State University where he did undergraduate research in computational astrophysics. He enjoys solving complicated problems for customers and using computational modeling.

Philip Correll

Philip Correll has a bachelor of engineering technology degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has worked in the computer, electronics and robotics field for more than 30 years. He specializes in testing systems and has completed ProportionAir’s training program to support the electronic regulators used in our systems.

Susan Kern

Susan Kern is Equilibar’s office and sales assistant. Her key responsibilities are to ensure that customers receive everything they need with their quotes and to support our engineers in customer communication. Susan has more than 20 years of experience with administrative and customer service work.
