FDO4 Sanitary Back Pressure Regulator

The FDO4 is a lower-flow back pressure regulator with 1/2″ sanitary clamp connections. It is ideally sized for liquid blending applications of chemical additives in the range of 1 ml/minute to about 3000 ml/minute. FDO4 comes in two form factors, the original square body and the new round body, similar to FDO6. It can be used for precision pressure control or flow control applications.

FDO Series Sanitary Valve Product Line

The FD Series back pressure regulator family is specifically designed as a sanitary regulator for use in biopharma, food, and other applications where there are surface finish, clean-in-place, drainability, or USP class VI material requirements.

Like our other Equilibar® back pressure regulators, the FD Series features ultra sensitive diaphragm-operated back pressure technology capable of controlling pressure with high precision over a wide range of flows. The pilot-controlled, dome loaded design will control the system pressure in a precise 1 to 1 relationship with the pressure applied to the dome. This dome pilot pressure may be provided by a manually adjustable spring loaded regulator or by an electronic pressure regulator for computer control.

The flexible membrane diaphragm is the only moving part. This membrane instantly responds to changes in the system flow rate to accurately maintain the pressure at the desired set point. The FD series is the most accurate and highest resolution sanitary back pressure regulator on the market. The simple design allows for extremely fast disassembly and field repair using low cost rebuild kits. The compact design facilitates a simple process layout.
