Equilibar is pleased to announce a partnership with Verus Process Equipment that will dramatically increase our ability to provide single use fluid control valves to the pharmaceutical and related industries in the northeastern region of the United States.

Verus was founded by Andy Mutz, who has more than 30 years experience in the design, manufacture and sales of modular process equipment and single use solutions. The company is based in Massachusetts, a global hub for biopharma manufacturers and end users.

“I am eager to bring Equilibar’s well proven and enabling pressure control technology to an industry that provides life-saving and life-changing therapies,” Andy said. “The opportunity to take part in introducing the SD single use version is particularly exciting.”Andy Mutz of Verus

David Reed, vice president for Equilibar, noted that “Andy’s in-depth understanding of the unique requirements of the BioPharma industry will provide valued service to our customers in the northeast.”

Andy will be attending the ISPE Boston conference on September 18 and will be available to meet with attendees. Stop by the Equilibar booth in Exhibit Space W14 to learn more. Equilibar engineers Ryan Heffner and Diane Jacober will also have a live demo and examples of Equilibar’s sanitary and single use control valves to demonstrate.

Equilibar offers a wide variety of sanitary valves and back pressure regulators with hygienic features for BioPharma applications. The FD Series of controllers are machined from stainless steel or Hastelloy while the SD Series BPRs are a single use design manufactured from USP Class VI HDPE polymer for superior chemical compatibility and gamma radiation tolerance.

Both valve series feature Equilibar’s patented dome-loaded multiple orifice technology to deliver instantaneous control, frictionless operation, superior precision, and exceptionally wide flow rate range. They are highly suitable for both pressure control and flow control applications.

As always, we invite you to contact one of our engineers to discuss your fluid control challenge.

how the Equilibar valve works in pressure reducing control

For complex applications, Equilibar® valves can provide reliable pressure-reducing control

Equilibar’s multiple orifice diaphragm technology has become a favorite for providing back pressure control, vacuum control, and flow control, but in certain applications it can also provide distinct advantages as a pressure reducing valve (PRV) that is able to perform where conventional valves cannot. Equilibar devices excel in pressure-reducing applications that push far beyond the Read More
