High Pressure Electronic Reference Controller

HP ERC for pressure control above 3000 psi

HP ERC

Precision electronic reference pressure control up to 400 bar / 5800 psi

A high pressure electronic reference controller for applications using Equilibar® back pressure regulators above 200 bar(g) /3000 psig can be challenging to find. We now offer the new HP ERC to be used as an electronic reference controller in the range from 8 – 400 bar(g) /120 – 5800 psig. It can be used to control air or nitrogen pressure to the dome of the Equilibar back pressure regulator.

This 400 bar electronic pressure controller contains a PID controller with two proportional valves and an external pressure sensor. The HP ERC achieves incredibly stable pressure control without any overshoot.

  • For inert gas (N2, air)
  • Achieves a control stability of <0.1%
  • Minimal dead volume
  • Zero consumption of pressurized inert gas
  • Temperature range: -10°C to 70°C
  • Digital or analog communication options

Convenient Communication & Connections

The HP ERC standard configuration uses a 4-20mA analog signal but it can also be configured for 0 – 5 VDC, or 0-10VDC. Other custom communications can be configured such as DeviceNet, ProfiBus, ProfiNet, Ethercat, FlowBus, ModBusRTU, ModBusTCP/IP and CANopen.

It has a compression fittings that connect to the dome of the Equilibar BPR making it easy to automate in open or closed loop control.

There is a 700 bar version available for customers looking for extremely high pressure control.
