Team Member Spotlight: Andrew Roberts, Assembly Technician

  • andrew roberts

We are happy to introduce Andrew Roberts, our amazing assembly technician, who is able to build seemingly infinite configurations of Equilibar back pressure regulators and vacuum control valves.

Long-time clients and partners may remember Andrew. He worked for Equilibar several years ago before taking a break to join the thriving beer brewing industry in Western North Carolina. As luck would have it, he was able to rejoin the team just in time for our end-of-year production surge last December.

During his time with the beer industry, Andrew honed several skills that he uses in assembly. “The fast-paced automation taught me a lot about systems and processes,” he said. Andrew also uses mechanical skills he learned from experience with construction. His methodical approach is a real asset given the increasing number of Equilibar options, including size, materials of construction, diaphragms, and O-rings. Despite the complexity, he makes it all look easy.

Andrew is a native of Brevard, North Carolina, where he enjoys playing multiple types of music with friends. He is also a DJ and collects Vinyl LPs. Welcome back, Andrew!

Industry Focus: Semiconductor Manufacturing

Semiconductor manufacturing involves some of the most complex industrial processes ever developed. The processors in our modern computers, phones, cars and appliances are produced via a long sequence of manufacturing steps, each requiring ultra-precise engineering, cutting-edge materials, and nanoscale fabrication techniques. Fluid control plays an integral role in several of these steps, including the extremely complex Read More
