Team member spotlight: Chelsea Weldon, engineering assistant

  • Chelsea Weldon, engineering assistant

Equilibar feels incredibly fortunate to have Chelsea Weldon on our team as engineering assistant. Chelsea joined Equilibar at the beginning of the year and quickly began helping our systems run more smoothly. Since then, she has taken on a number of administrative tasks. Thanks to her organization and thoroughness, our technical staff can focus on what they do best–find the perfect pressure control solution for the most challenging scenarios.

Chelsea has gone through focused training to become an ISO internal auditor and a project controller. She is now overseeing our Safety, Continuous Improvement, and Training & Competency processes and is a member of our internal quality management team, assisting regularly with document control. Perhaps even more importantly, she fosters a positive and supportive work environment for the whole team with her thoughtfulness and creative approach to problem solving. The entire work place has benefited from her influence.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Chelsea has a degree in business communication. “I’ve recognized my affinity for working for a small business ever since my first internship during my undergraduate,” she said. “I quickly appreciated the Equilibar team culture and the way everybody continues to work hard and to strive to grow the business. Sharing an office with three engineers allows for a thought-provoking environment. The admiration they have for their work and design is inspiring.”

When she’s not at Equilibar, Chelsea enjoys gardening. She has many succulents and varieties of pothos that she enjoys propagating and sharing with friends and family. The challenge she enjoys from her bonsai trees is the dedication and patience that they demand. She also enjoys design through several forms of art media. Her preferred styles include painting in watercolor, acrylic, oil, and she loves to work with charcoal, different chalks, and ink. She continues to keep art for sale in a local shop in Lexington, Kentucky, and will pop up at the Asheville Food Park as time allows.

We appreciate the many ways Chelsea has made Equilibar a better company!
