Purchasing and Scheduling

Scott Phifer fills several vital roles for Equilibar. In addition to ensuring that Equilibar’s production team always has everything they need to fulfill orders in a timely way, he coordinates purchasing and scheduling and also tests select electronic devices involved in production.

“My goal is to follow through on our vision,” he said. “I try to bring a critical eye to production, noticing little details like aesthetics, to make sure our customers always get the best products.”

Scott earned a degree in recreation management with a concentration in outdoor experiential education from Appalachian State University. He is an outdoor enthusiast who has always wanted to live in the Asheville area because of the many hiking, biking and water sport activities that are available here. He especially enjoys hiking and in 2007 successfully hiked the Appalachian Trail.

In recent years, Scott and his wife have focused on enjoying time with their young daughter and teaching her about the outdoors.

“The main things I enjoy about Equilibar are the different people and the atmosphere in production, which is hardworking but balanced. Plus, the music here is great.”
