Berlin customer successfully uses Equilibar for two-phase flow in high pressure reactor

Integrated Lab Solutions, Gmbh

  • 300 bar application with Equilibar back pressure regulator controlling multi-phase flow

Integrated Lab Solutions, Gmbh (ILS) is a Berlin-based fabricator of high-throughput testing systems for catalyst and other research systems. They frequently use Equilibar® back pressure regulators to control reactor pressure and for improved flow control of their liquids and gases.

In a recent application, ILS demonstrated highly stable pressure while passing simultaneous liquid and gas from a high pressure reactor at 300 bar (4500 psig).

The Equilibar EB1HP1 shown in the photograph is controlling the pressure of the reactor upstream. For applications in this high pressure range, SS316L or Hasteloy C276 diaphragms are typically used.

You can read customer case studies of ILS high throughput test systems in the ILS blog pages.

how the Equilibar valve works in pressure reducing control

For complex applications, Equilibar® valves can provide reliable pressure-reducing control

Equilibar’s multiple orifice diaphragm technology has become a favorite for providing back pressure control, vacuum control, and flow control, but in certain applications it can also provide distinct advantages as a pressure reducing valve (PRV) that is able to perform where conventional valves cannot. Equilibar devices excel in pressure-reducing applications that push far beyond the Read More
