We are happy to introduce Diane Jacober, a mechanical engineer who has been working as marketing specialist for Equilibar since late last year.
Diane brings a unique and especially useful set of skills to Equilibar. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from Dartmouth College and has worked as a process engineer, project engineer and technical marketing specialist for a number of industries, including DuPont in India. She has also been actively involved with several community organizations in Western North Carolina and has worked with some of our area camps and other youth programs.
“I grew up in Vermont and have always enjoyed outdoor activities,” she said. “I moved to Western North Carolina as an adult and it is where my children call ‘home.’ We enjoy travel, visiting family and hiking and exploring swimming holes.”
With her combination of engineering and marketing experience, Diane brings an experienced but fresh eye for updating materials. She will also be well equipped to provide important back-up customer support as our team becomes busier and busier.
Diane says the best part of working at Equilibar is learning something new every day. “I enjoy the variety of work involved in marketing where I can use my engineering background to research new applications for our products and my creative side to write and design print and digital materials for potential customers,” she said. “My goals are to reach new customers by understanding their needs and creating website content to draw interest. I am happy to be part of an enthusiastic and intelligent team at Equilibar.”
Meanwhile, all of us have already grown to rely on Diane for her positive outlook, high expectations, concern for other team members, and willingness to pitch in on projects as needed. Please help us welcome her to our team.
