Ian Ostrander’s background in research and statistics makes him a valuable resource as Equilibar’s Quality and Inspection Specialist. Ian has a M.S. Degree in Experimental Psychology and is enrolled in a hybrid PhD program in research psychology at Walden University.
“The most interesting part of my job is learning new processes and organizing data to see how well the machine that is Equilibar is operating,” he says. “My goals are to assist in the data metrics in any way I can, getting involved with problem solving and organization.”
Ian brings an analytical, can-do approach to our production floor. His hobbies include playing music, hiking, and strategic video games. He also enjoys woodworking and uses CAD-based drawings for furniture planning. Many people don’t know that Ian has a hidden talent of being skilled in stuffed animal drafting and construction. “I took an apparel class in high school as a filler and ended up doing really well in it and enjoying it.”
Ian was also integrally involved in helping develop a quality system that meets ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
