Equilibar is excited to announce a new partnership with Thermal and Fluids Solutions Group of Stafford, Virginia. TFSG specializes in advanced two-phase flow and heat transfer systems, including refrigeration, Rankine cycles and open power cycles. They have extensive experience in alternative energy technology, especially Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion.

“TFSG’s focus complements Equilibar’s strengths very well, and we expect this cooperation to accelerate new applications in the thermal and refrigeration sectors,” said Equilibar President Jeff Jennings.

“Equilibar offers superior performance in providing pressure control for applications with two-phase flow as well as applications dealing with alternative energy. The two companies have already worked together extensively to successfully develop next generation thermal systems and other cutting edge technology.

“Both Equilibar and TFSG offer strong and collaborative engineering services. We look forward to exploring new opportunities in the future.”

Seven Ways to Dome Load

Equilibar’s back pressure regulators (BPRs) are dome loaded.  This means that the pressure setpoint is provided by a fluid that is fed into a chamber on the top (dome) of the regulator. The pressure of the fluid (either gas or liquid) is set by a second regulator called a pilot regulator.  The loading mechanism is Read More
