Equilibar offers a novel system for controlling process gas pressure down to 0.02 psi. By combining the incredible precision of Equilibar's Back Pressure Regulator with a flow metering valve, our LPCS functions as both a pressure reducing regulator and a back pressure regulator at the same time.
How it Works
- An air set point signal is generated by a small pressure reducing regulator, such as our LPR2, capable of generating precise signals down to 0.02 psi (0.5 inWC).
- Your process gas flow is controlled through a flow control valve to a level at least as large as your maximum application demand rate.
- The Equilibar precision back pressure regulator exhausts the excess gas not required by your process in order to maintain your process at precisely the right pressure. Regardless of whether you process requires a positive or negative flow.
The LPCS is available from 1/4" through 1" and larger pipe sizes. The 1/4" version pictured above is a common configuration for low flow rate applications, though our engineers can design a system for virtually any application.
